Jnana Mudra

Alt Text

ॐ Jnana Mudra – The Consciousness Seal.

Jnana means Knowledge or Wisdom in sanskrit.

It is also called Chin (Consciousness) Mudra because it helps us to calm our mind, to focus and concentrate, it creates a more receptive state, so it is a great mudra to use in meditation. Besides, it brightens our mood and helps us connect with our inner self.

How to do it:

  • sit in a comfortable meditative posture, like Sukhasana, Siddhasana, Vajrasana or Padmasana;
  • rest your hands on top of your thighs with palms facing upward;
  • gently connect the tip of your thumb and your index finger, leaving the other fingers extended but relaxed;
  • close your eyes and take a deep breath in and out through your nostrils.

Just like with Anjali Mudra, you can add a mantra to help you meditate.

Namasté! 🙏
